Raja Ampat, The King of Paradise

Raja Ampat which is located in West Papua is already known as one of the best dive sites in the world. This Predicate is very encouraging. Whereas many non-dive tourism objects are equally captivating.


Raja Ampat is so famous as dive site,the  people almost forget other surface tourism object which is not less interesting. Especially for those who do not like diving or not advanced to dive to the bottom of the sea.

Raja Ampat does offer such a varied selection of tourism. You can enjoy marine tourism surrounding hundreds of small islands by renting speedboat. Choose a sleek speedboat that can slip between beautiful small islands. You will feel the sensation of infinite time when the boat slips between the small islands while you take pictures from a distance.



Hundreds of islands in the Raja Ampat form green small reef hills in the average by the various trees that grow on it. One of them there is an atoll forms like a pointed pencil so-called pencil island.

The location to see the unique landscape of the islands typical is in the Bay of Kabui that resembles a labyrinth with exotic coral walls. Among the islands scattered a number of natural caves where hundreds of bats nest inside. There is also the island that there are some skulls and human bones. No one knows exactly who was buried there.

Satisfied there, you can proceed to Eden Bay, the unique bay which has a desert under a puddle of its water.

Another option is Wayag Islands which has white sand and blue light beach which a small part of the beauty you can see without the need to go into the sea or diving. Wayag island which became an icon of Raja Ampat has many challenging cliffs to climb to see the incredible view from the top.

For those who like to swim, you can snorkel to enjoy the beauty of underwater world without having any further into the sea. Almost all divespot became a choice for snorkeling. If you do not like snorkeling, simply relax on a white sand beach. Most of the islands in Raja Ampat coastal with fine white sand and clean as well.

You can also feed a variety of colorful fish on the coast of Dampier Strait like feeding the fish in giant aquarium without limits. The location of Dampir Strait is one of the marine conservation area in the district of Meosmansar, South Waigeo island. Its people highly conserving fish life and coral reefs at the base of water. In WaiwoCoast, Waisai island You can also feed the fish in the sea which is watery clear.



Another option is bird watching that seeing animals, especially Cenderawasih bird. Its location at Bukit Hau, Sawinggrai Village, Gam island. This typical Papua bird is different from Cendrawasih that exist in Papua mainland. Cenderawasih fur in Raja Ampat dominated by red so-called Red Cenderawasih. On this hill, besides the Red Cenderawasih there is also parrot king, white ,red cockatoos, parrot, and maleo. Gam island can be reached by speedboat about 35 minutes from Waisai.

There are many non-diving activities to do in Raja Ampat. Besides exploring the island, you can play kayak, fishing using traditional ways of Papua, trekking to the waterfall, feeding cuscus, buying woven handicrafts in Arborek, seeing human palm painting and a huge animal in prehistoric cave at Tomolol, and watching various art form of traditional dances at Cultural Festival of Raja Ampat. And of course photographing the landscape and the life of its people as well.
